It's OK - Portable audio and video

I bought this a few years ago. I expected it to be a simple machine that is easy to work with. That's true, but there are some features that are more complicated than they should be or that don't work properly. Working with the clock is routine work and pain. I use it a lot so when I change the battery I have to reset everything, date, time, it sounds right but it's not as easy as it looks. The dictation function is the biggest shortcoming. If you dictate into the device and pause, it will be written to a different file when you resume. So you can't listen to a constant dictation, but have to restart each created file every time you stop. There is no pause function, which to a certain extent contradicts the purpose of the dictation machine. In terms of battery life, I use rechargeable batteries and they last quite a long time. The machine doesn't have a power switch, but there is a hold switch that works the same way. I like Panasonic products, but this one, while it works and stands the test of time, has very bad design flaws and doesn't work. as befits a dictaphone. The only benefit I could attribute to this product would be for a reporter using it to interview people. The folder and file features it offers are great for that. It's a great machine for this one function.

Pros
  • Rugged build
Cons
  • Minor issues
