Extensions are good when you need these things. I do. I have four sets so I can reach the back of the deep battery cabinets. I use two or three pairs almost every day. I like that they are short enough to fit individually in my toolbox. But the light is terrible. They turn on with a light touch, meaning the slightest touch of the toolbox will turn them on and drain the battery. Of the four sets I bought, two were already dead in the package! To turn them off, the switch must be very deliberately pressed. Behind what should be. It's pointless if they're always dead. Instead I use a flashlight or some flashlights on my keychain.
