The gloves are conditionally waterproof. Put them on a few times, pick up a few wet extensions, your hands are cold and wet. Simply spraying water onto a rag to wet and clean the surface resulted in my gloves and hands getting wet. Worn only once or twice, they were starting to burst at the seams. A small sewing repair, done. I blow dry them when they get damp and get back to work. They protect against wind and keep dry warm. I would recommend hand wash and air dry only.
