Gates timing belt kit almost blew up my Lexus

So my son has been a car mechanic for 40 years, installed a timing belt kit on his Lexus, water pump gasket failed for a month, engine almost explodes. My son didn't believe the new Gates! The water pump failed so he just replaced the gaskets and seals but it's still leaking! Disassembled for the third time, AC Delco fitted, water pump, everything is perfect now! So I disagree with the cost of 2 water pumps and my son's labor!
