I ordered this item and received a popcorn maker with a small dent in the inner metal part where the kernels go. I contacted Revain who said they would send a replacement out immediately and that they would be grateful if I could print a label to send the damaged item back. I printed the label and took the product to my local UPS store for return. The popcorn substitute came the next day! I tried this for an hour or so. It pushes out the kernels pretty well. Few don't jump out of the scoop. The kernels I bought are Amish Organic Kernels which may pop differently than other types/brands. I've used it several times and I'm still very happy with the machine. Cores that don't burst tend to practically fly out of the machine's mouth. For me it would only be a problem if my young son was in the kitchen when I was making popcorn. But since I don't (yet) let him into the kitchen when I'm cooking, that's not a problem for me. The car smells a little funny when it starts to heat up, but that's to be expected when every car starts to get warm. In general I would say that this is a wonderful car. I hope I never feel the need to edit this review. Considering I've only had it for a few days, that could very well be the case. I hope not.
