I really liked this hair straightener a few weeks ago. I got it in early March, it works perfectly - the cord is long, it quickly got warm. then I turned it on to use it about 2 weeks ago and after it "came up to temperature" (I think anyway) the digital display said "E1" instead of temperature and was barely warm. I'm not sure what happened. All my sockets are GFCI and I have never left them longer than necessary to style my hair but now it happens every time I try to use them. I've tried setting it to a lower temperature to see if it's just overheating, but that happens even at 300 degrees (or less!). This makes the iron really difficult to use as I have to keep unplugging it, plugging it back in, plugging it back in, and letting it warm up again every time it shows the "E1" message. My guess is that it eventually refuses to turn on. Very disappointing because I was really hoping to find a straightener that lasted.
