My splicer has a new cord set. I also use a large coil of wire. I only bought this whole assembly because my original DC motor stopped working. I took a chance buying this device at a low price and my results were the same as most. The technology is almost identical to OEM. Mounting holes need to be drilled with a 1/4" drill bit. Then you try to use the damn thing. The DC motor is too weak to overcome some of the welder's natural friction points, such as the friction of the wire spool and the Wiring assembly which we consider normal.I hope the creators of this article take my feedback seriously.Sell us some motors instead as our transmission parts are in good condition most of the time.Right now I'm sending my unit back and looking for something other as a possible solution.The biggest problem is that the description text does not electrically match what is shown in the picture.The product description says it is a 10w unit which I will ship to you when you read that it's a total of 0.42 amps. That's less than half an amp. The picture shows the motor is rated at 0.9 amps. For those in the know, the more amps you draw, the better you have more torque and power. This unit acted like it didn't have enough power to provide a wire feed until I set the wire feed to about the 7 out of 10 position. Even at this point the feed was very slow, like I was set to the lowest feed. Parameter. The overall product isn't bad in terms of design, but I really wish the seller would understand that whoever they source the motors from isn't up to the original OEM specs. The DC motor is the only problem I have with this product, it is extremely weak. I tried to contact the seller about my problem before checking, but that doesn't seem to be happening. There is nothing but an automated typing bot and support website. So my final complaint is that the seller claims I can just contact them with any problems or quality issues, but actually figuring out how to do it is trivial for me at this point. If you are a seller please contact me by phone or email. I have a feeling you want to deliver a quality product and don't know that your engine supplier is cheating on you.
