Lasts less than half a year

Although it still worked, I really liked the keyboard, especially the screen. The 360 degree rotation was the main reason I bought these as my previous iPad keyboard case was a flip case that couldn't be flipped back 180 degrees like a laptop and broke once when opening. The 360 degree rotation made this break impossible. I liked the different configurations I could fit this keyboard case into, such as tablet mode where I fold the keyboard behind the screen, which I couldn't do with my previous keyboard. It was handy for writing on paper and flipped easily so I could type on it like I would on a laptop when needed. There was no lag or sticky keys when typing, which was great too. The first time it lasted about 2 weeks on one charge, I haven't had to charge it since and it took about 3 months to break. Although I used my iPad on a daily basis, I mostly kept it in tablet configuration and used the keyboard very, very lightly, only occasionally emailing or replying to messages when I didn't feel like closing my phone or laptop to use. Even with this light usage, a dead spot occurred in the top left corner of the keyboard, rendering the 1-4 number keys unusable. There is a button above 3 that brings up the on-screen keyboard when needed, so I can type numbers like that, but it's very cumbersome and disrupts my workflow, which is why I basically never use the keyboard now and choose to open my laptop instead. The rest of the keyboard is fine, but I expect it to break constantly as the broken keys came out of nowhere. I don't know if I got the marriage as it worked fantastic for 3 months and then suddenly broke partially so it seems to be a general quality issue which is quite unfortunate as it wasn't cheap at $50. Needless to say I won't be buying this again as the price is too high to try again when there are many other brands of similar iPad keyboards at Revain.
