My original Samsung remote dropped several times, some buttons didn't work and were very difficult to press. I was looking for a cheap remote to replace and this one was perfect, it's well made for the price and worked right away when I put the batteries in. I read a few other comments that mentioned the battery cover was too tight. but there were no problems. I was also able to pair the remote with my Fire TV and use it normally. The only difference I felt right away was the raised buttons at that distance versus the flat buttons on the original,
