I travel a lot and have always been looking for something like this. I even tried to make a much simpler version before a 2 week trip to Europe last year. Things I love: - it's soft - it's warm - I'm carrying it on my shoulder in a hotel room right now. It is easy to close with a zipper. The option I did was fold in on itself, which proved difficult on a plane. You can just tuck in a blanket and zip it up - it has a trolley strap and another carry strap - pockets! I pack all my essentials in a small bag and hide them in a pocket. iPod, tissues, medicine, gum, lip balm, eye drops (wow that sounds expensive) and a credit card for all onboard purchases. My sleeping mask is in the other pocket and I place the air cushion in the middle of the blanket. Now I can just hop on a plane and stow my carry-on luggage without having to gather everything I want to have handy on long flights. The zippers are strong and close smoothly. She showed her qualities to my husband who really didn't care but he spoiled me because I was so excited about this blanket. He has already done at least 5 cross country flights with him and I am very happy with him. Rarely have I been so enthusiastic about *a* product. Haven't found any downsides yet. It has been washed twice and is holding up great. It looks sturdy and well made. Maybe a very small thing is that there is mesh in the pockets so sometimes the mesh can easily get stuck in the zipper. But it doesn't really matter and doesn't happen if I pay attention. I'm always looking for things to make travel easier as I fly so much and it's very rare that I actually come across a travel product. It's exactly what I was hoping for and it really enhanced my travel experience. I would recommend it as a gift to any traveler in your life. I'll get some more to hide in cars. I wish they had more colors and a monogram, but that has nothing to do with the quilt itself.
