Only suitable for small and light laptops

The product is well made, but the design could be improved. Continue reading. The design is interesting. The bassinet is made of light metal (aluminum?) and rubber. Unlike competing products, the metal parts of the stand never come into contact with the laptop. This is important as it prevents scratches on the surface of your laptop. Although the product is well made and the design is promising, its use is limited. For example, I bought the product to use with my 16 inch MacBook Pro and my 15 inch Dell laptop. The stand is too light to prevent these laptops from tipping over. My $4,000 MacBook Pro will definitely break if it tips over. The same applies to my much cheaper, but almost the same size Dell laptop. Although the stand is not suitable for large laptops, it works well for small (11-13 inch) and light (non-metal) laptops. For example, the stand works great for my lightweight 11" MacBook Air. It's also good for my 13" Dell Latitude (all plastic), but I wouldn't go for anything bigger or heavier than my Latitude. In conclusion, I like the design promising. I recommend them to find a way to greatly increase the weight of the stand. Also, I recommend increasing the height of the arc where the rubber meets the laptop. The arc needs to be increased by at least half to achieve the depth of a typical 15.5" laptop. I only recommend this product for small and light laptops.
