We could go to the local grocery store and pay $50 for a 6-month water filter, but three water filters plus three recirculating filters for less than $30 seemed convincingly good. Bargains - unless they're poorly made, leak-prone junk. What, I'm damn glad to say it's not. They arrived well ahead of schedule, well packaged, individually boxed and boxed in printed boxes. The filters were wrapped in a fairly thick plastic wrap, sealed securely and fitted easily into our LG fridge. The one we installed didn't leak at all as we installed it and hasn't leaked since. The water flowed in spurts for 20 seconds and the first three glasses were slightly cloudy - both good signs that there is enough clear water in them. the filter material ensures a sufficiently long service life. Best of all, these filters have a very good throughput - glasses fill up quickly and filling the coffee pot is no longer a daytime task. LG's ice maker also makes a silly fuss and needs enough water for each cube cycle - if its flow is too low all your ice cubes will look like roaches, saving whiskey but grossing out your guests - our cubes are now well rounded and well shaped ... which increases everyone's drinking pleasure
