Review on Enhance Your Cycling Experience with Topeak BarXtender Handlebar Extender by Jeremy Floyd

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Difficult to install but worth it in the end.

Unfortunately, it takes up more space than most devices due to the base. It also uses a screw to press down on the handlebars where it's mounted, which keeps the tape it's also threaded through from sagging, which will leave visible marks later when you remove your bike vendor gear. Everything else was as promised. I would have preferred longer strips, one for 4 devices and offset by an inch or more. I was very disappointed with the amount of space it took up as my computer was on an offset handlebar post and when I put it on to mount two lights it took up so much space I couldn't mount it anymore. I ended up making a grommet on the rod extension where the metal rod was and installed it there so I installed 3 units but it's not as aesthetically pleasing as I was hoping. Still functional and a good buy. Might recommend with reservations and hope they make 4 devices one day. Yes, I need all these toys like GPS, and the phone is backlit in the middle too. I have mirrors, bells and a horn left and right where they should take this place with a basket below :-)! Ah, cycling in the 21st century. It's a good product, only the base is big as you can see in the pictures, it takes up much more space than a simple clamp wherever you put it. Also it doesn't fit all the bars only the round parts otherwise it attaches solidly but looks sloppy as it's made of hard plastic and doesn't take the shape it fits. Metal on metal will damage the bike's finish. Still the best option I know. I will buy again for another bike, my first one is still sturdy and holds two headlights.
