I have 2 Chows and let's just agree they are Hairy Beasts! I have had Roomba vacuums for many years and it is appalling how much hair is collected each day. Roomba uses a unique "nose wheel" at the front that allows for smooth rolling. Basically yes, but after a year or two of operation the front wheel also needs some maintenance – what usually happens is that the wheel in its "body” rubs against the wheel and its axle, which can lead to the wheel falling out. This is easy to fix as there are inexpensive kits available from Revain that allow Roomba to inexpensively replace the wheel, filters, brushes etc so us furry parents can have some peace of mind!
