Review on πŸ’» Roost V3 Laptop Stand: Versatile, Portable Stand for PCs and MacBooks by Jaymai Alford

You get what you pay for - buy a real Roost stand!

This stand is a lifesaver when raising the laptop screen on my desk to an ergonomic height to match my external display. It's lightweight and portable, so I can use it when I'm going from conference room to conference room or to other clients throughout the day. It's strong and stable enough for light typing and mouse use, although that would be pretty bad for your wrists, so I pair it with a small wireless keyboard and mouse. I have both the Roost stand and a copy of the Nexstand and prefer to use the perch stand each time. The Roost is 2 inches shorter when folded, making it easier to fit in my bag. The roost joints have tighter tolerances and the legs don't feel as wobbly as the Nextstand, although the roost legs are thinner. Gripping rubber on the front feet also provides some slip resistance, especially when a $2,000 15-inch Macbook Pro is on the stand. One final minor difference is that the Roost comes in a nylon carry case, while the Nexstand has a fabric tube. The nylon tube is stiff enough to easily put the folded stand back into the tube, but it's almost impossible to get the Nexstand back into the cloth tube without a lot of patience.
