I used these to install my new Minn Kota Ulterra trolling motor with 80lbs of thrust. They are said to be designed for engines up to 80 lbs. They came loose and started to stretch on first use. I tightened them and they lasted the rest of the trip. I took them with me on my second trip. As I was launching my boat, the front of the motor mount hit the trailer's front roller and nearly ripped it out. I had to stop and reattach them before I could fish. The action of the trolling motor alone pulled her out again within 5 minutes. I returned to shore and attempted to secure her again. I bought an extra set so I replaced two of them with new ones. Attached are photos of the ones I replaced. An hour later they parted again. I removed them all and used a different attachment system. My bow is aluminum with 3/4 foot plywood backing. They could work on a fiberglass boat without a thick back, but if your boat is built like mine, don't waste your time or money.
