I have an older 26" Sharp Aquos in my bedroom and the remote stopped working for some reason. Most remotes I found didn't have a sleep button. in my bedroom I use this feature a lot (every night) So I was thrilled to find this by specifically looking for a Sharp remote. When I received it I added batteries and hit the power button. Nothing. Too bad that I need to program something. The instructions that came with it were pretty short but still effective. I tried the first two codes and they both controlled all the functions I needed for my TV. It's a little bigger than my old remote and doesn't have a backlight (like the my old one). But the most important thing is that the sleep button works! And it has a fast le reaction. My old remote was so bad that I held down the power button for a long time and it eventually turned off. Anyway, this is for me, and my TV is probably 15 years old. This LCD is about 6 inches thick, not the 1 or 2 inches you find these days. If you have an old TV, give it a try!
