Review on Chainsaw Cylinder Piston Kit For Husqvarna 50,51,55, Replacement Parts With Circlip, Piston Ring Pin, Spark Plug, Pressure Relief Valve, Piston Needle Roller by Andrew Pierceson

I bought this for my Dad to repair a Husqvarna Rancher55 with 15 seasons of firewood cutting on it. My parents heat solely with wood so his saw gets used quite a bit. His factory piston was scratched badly and the saw would no longer start.He installed the kit and it went well with the exception of a missing seal for the vacuum port to the fuel pump. The saw would start but not idle for long and it would not rev without running out of fuel. He took it to the shop where the problem was discovered and a new seal installed. The repairman said he could not tell the difference between this cylinder/piston and the factory one.The saw has been used to cut up a few large trees so far and my Dad says it is just as strong as ever and as a bonus, he now has a compression release that he didn't have from the factory. He's very satisfied with the kit and has already recommended it to a friend with a failing Husqvarna saw.
