Tao Tao Lancer 150, 150cc GY6 engine. I will look at each component individually. 1.) CDI: Fantastic. Absolut made the engine much more responsive, added some power and improved acceleration. You need to adjust the idle as it spikes up to about 2100 for some reason. It used more power and could sometimes make it difficult to start at idle in cold weather, and the engine would stall at first. But it's only once in a blue moon. 2.) Ignition coil: Meh. It comes off easily and engine vibration will make the spark erratic and reduce performance. I went back to the standard coil. 3.) Spark Plug: Useless. Three contacts but the electrode is off center. Electricity is like water and follows the path of least resistance, so only one contact is used anyway. I personally use NGK and he added some zips. I was expecting an improvement with the CDI but didn't believe in the coil or fork, deciding to try them for the price. CDI is the only thing here. You can save $5 and get it yourself.
