I had to walk around the house from end to end for a long time. In winter I went to the attic, stretched the cable, caught the wall and so on. But then midsummer came and I needed another Eighternet connection on another network. At first I figured I'd have to wait for it to cool down to try another heroic attic line. But then I thought that I would simply use 2 free pairs of wires in the existing cable. After I sat down and started estimating the price of connectors and some sort of housing, it turned out to be a lot more than the cost of this splitter. So I bought 2 and have never looked back. It works great, delivering high throughput on both links with no noticeable signal degradation. I highly recommend and I will be buying more in stock.
