Finally! Dimmable LED bulbs that really work!

This is a BR20 test. I just moved into a house with LED light bulbs in the living room. You're on the dimmer. The previous owners put in a bunch of fake lightbulbs that annoyed me to no end. I've tried replacing them with bulbs of various types and brands, most of which I bought from Home Depot, but none of them worked. They all either flickered or did really weird things like turning on with a very faint glow even when the switch was off. I've experimented with a number of different combinations and have only been able to get them to "work" with a bunch of mismatched bulbs. Now I know why the previous owners had a hodgepodge of mismatched bulbs. I did a lot of reading and research and found that LED bulbs can be extremely finicky, especially when used in circuits with multiple bulbs on the same circuit, and even worse when that circuit is connected to a dimmer. After some research, they seemed the most promising to me, so I decided to try them, even though they were a bit more expensive. Received them yesterday, installed them this morning and am happy to report they work great. Now I've matched all the bulbs, they don't flicker, they don't glow when the circuit is off, they dim well, basically they work just like they should. Warm white is also perfect for the living room. . The track light has six of these so they can get really bright when needed, but with a warm white color they cause no complaints.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
