Okay I really really wanted to LOVE her! And the most important thing: I like her very much. The blocks of ice will be easier to remove if you fill the trays about 3/4 full. Since the block shell is just a shell with silicone separators, these cannot be pulled out individually. Yes, putting them on the counter for about 2 minutes really made them a lot easier to remove. To be honest I LOVE the big soda cube so it's worth it. And for the soup broth and baby food? You might find something that costs a little more and is actually made up of INDIVIDUAL cubes that are not attached to each other. Oh, and the lid is great as long as you're patient and your tray is frozen and full.
