Review on Scanner SYSCHOTECH Readers Compatible Diagnostic by Dave Connelly

Revainrating 2 out of 5

If you're using Android, get Bluetooth when your software is looking for codes.

Other reviews say they fail 10-20% of the time. Maybe I was one of the unlucky ones. Wifi always well connected. Connecting to car computers was risky at best. When I first got it and drove car A. All I could tell was the intake air pressure. Things I know should be read by what an offline reader reads, there was no speed, no fuel, no traction. When it came time to use it on Machine B, I plugged it in a couple of times but it didn't stick. And reconnect, turn off wifi and reconnect, turn off, reconnect, turn machine on and off. I think I managed to get the information twice in about an hour of fiddling, but then I switch pages in my app and it doesn't fetch the new data. I then brought it back to Auto A and it wouldn't connect until I determined the interface type instead of using autodetect and even then it wouldn't fetch any data. It took about another hour to play around with it. It came in a bag with instructions and no support contact. The Veepeek replacement I received came in a small, lightly padded box with instructions and a support address printed directly on the blue stone. If you're using Android, you'll need to disconnect from your wireless network to enable OBD2 Wireless, so you don't have an internet connection to look up codes. It might work with cellular data, but I haven't tested that. I returned this and received the Bluetooth device. It was mentioned in the comments that support is responding.
