Review on 🔧 Remanufactured Domestic Steering - Cardone 20-0038F by Bobby Montoya

Since Cardone says they will not honor their warranty on their replacement power steering pumps without an in-line filter installed, I ignored all the negative reviews and went ahead and installed it. And sure enough, the filter started leaking and fell apart after a few weeks, just as previous reviewers tried to warn. So my wife lost her power steering while driving and I had to spend some time in mid-January afternoons removing the filter and replacing it with a barbed hose connector. I couldn't separate the ends of the filter from the hose, so I gave up the idea of removing it (yet). I was finally able to assemble the filter and am trying to find the easiest way to remove or repair the filter to avoid similar problems in the future. At the moment I regret that I never installed this filter. If I had to do it all over again I would either skip the filter and take a chance on the power steering pump warranty or fit a different brand of filter. But I would definitely AVOID THIS CARDONE LINE FILTER!
