The best thing about this inflatable collar. The fabric does not attract or hold dog hair and appears to be removable for washing. This seems pretty handy for our dog, who was actually shocked by his "cone of shame" when it hit his wire cage, floor, or furniture. This one is soft and quiet. It is ideal for dogs with short legs that scratch the bumps in the ground when walking. We took the average size for our corgi 22# and it was almost too big but with a bow collar at the nape of the neck everything is fine. I don't think a smaller one would have saved him from castration bites. Our vet wasn't really a fan of this, fearing it wouldn't be as effective as the Kegel, but it worked well. We kept the dog in a cone for 48 hours post-op just to be on the safe side, but have now switched to this quiet, comfortable alternative for the rest of his recovery.
