We have a small homestead and we have sheep, we used these shears to trim our sheep's wool. it worked well enough for this purpose. There are several, albeit few, guides on how to set up the machine to get the best cut. I'll have to watch videos on YouTube for different cars and figure it out. (Not as easy as it sounds) but with a little trial and error and a few good notches in your sheep you will figure it out. (Probably) It's a good price, only the instructions are missing
