I have had two old iHome alarm clocks and they have worked great for years. After the numbers on one of my old models started disappearing, I bought this one to replace it. I wanted to stick with the 30 pin as I have some old iPods and an old iPhone with a 30 pin connector that can be used for an alarm clock. On the 2nd generation iPod nano, the alarm always started on the first song in the iHome playlist (rather than randomly) and snoozed a few seconds after the snooze button was pressed. I tried my 3rd gen iPhone and the repeat function worked, but the device still jumped to the first song in the playlist. I downloaded the iHome Set app and installed the latest firmware but that didn't solve the problem. After checking with iHome support I was told that there is a bug in the firmware that cannot be fixed. This unit has good sound so I brought it to a room where I only use it for playback. Since I loved my old iHome alarms so much I gave them a second chance and ordered the IDL46 which worked flawlessly.
