Take these. I relied heavily on caring for leather to keep my knives very sharp and used about half a dozen different styles and brands. This one surpasses them all in more ways than one. First, it's wider than most. My others are all 1.5 to 2 inches wide. While I have other 3x8" lines, none of my paddle lines are that wide. So it's kind of the best of both worlds. They create a slurry that dries fairly quickly but fills in any small gaps and pores that the dyeing process is known for. Once you plot the connection, you kind of stick with it. It can be washed off, but soap and water will make your skin rough and a little rough when it dries. Finally, I like the drilled lanyard holes on both ends of the paddle. They allow me to hang the belt on a hook next to my workbench, a handy feature. If you didn't use a belt as the last step in the grinding process, after trying it you'll wonder why.
