Review on Nonda USB C To USB Adapter(2 Pack) by William Auditore

DEPENDENT: What are you using it for? Weak but smooth

I thought these things were great (in fact I bought a second pair before realizing the following). I ordered them at the same time as the "Apple MJ1M2AM/A USB-C to USB Adapter" (all for my 2019 Macbook Pro). In short, I didn't take into account how much performance can differ between these two types of adapters. If you need it for anything other than a USB transmitter for a flash drive or a computer mouse, it might be underpowered. Here's what happened: I connected an Ethernet cable to this Nonda adapter and the speed test showed that the Wi-Fi upload speed was around 72.76 Mbps (see image). This can't be the right speed as my colleague was getting speeds over 100. I switched my adapter to an Apple adapter and another speed test showed 119.00 Mbps. Apparently the apple key is designed like this (see 3rd picture, the white adapter is an apple and next to it is a silver nonda) because the cable helps it transmit more power. I didn't know that, but it seems like common sense to others. Now I know these Nonda buttons can only be used for small things like my files on a flash drive and a USB computer mouse. When I need to plug in a mic, charge my phone, or get online (everything takes more power), I use Apple. IN FACT I just ordered this "LENTION USB C 3-Port USB 2.0 Hub with RJ45 Ethernet Network Adapter” which I will keep in my office because it claims to be very powerful, high speed Ethernet capabilities and 3 USB ports, all for $15! Firmly. Well, let's see if it matches the declared ones. PS Why oh why Apple didn't you leave those new laptops with at least one USB port? You definitely fooled us. But thanks for the quality key I guess.
