Cheap but useful computer and accessories product

Let's say you just bought a new Mac. And you realize it has a Firewire 800 slot, and you have several Firewire 400 hard drive enclosures that you don't want to get rid of. Instead of going out and buying a new Firewire400-Firewire800 cable set to use with your Mac and existing Firewire hard drives, this is an inexpensive solution to your problem. Just buy this one and you can keep using your old FW400 cables and save some money. The adapter has an FW400 slot on one end that you connect your existing FW400 cable to, and an FW800 connector on the other end that you plug into your Mac. FW800 slot. The adapter itself is chunky and fits snugly in the slot next to my mini DP to DVI adapter, but it fits and works. There were no accidental disconnections or data loss when using the adapter to connect an external device. Hard drives and data transfer to and from my Mac. I have two of these and they both work great on my computer. Considering other companies sell a single Firewire 800-400 adapter for $10-12, at $6.99 it's definitely a steal. If you're looking for a versatile product that's easier to pair with your mini-DP/mini-DVI adapter, the moshi FireWire 800-400 adapter might be for you. Hope it helps you!
