I decided to *finally* ditch the old New Balance 587s that I've been using for the last 15 years. I mean, I only ran them once a week, 5 miles straight, so it didn't take much. I was frustrated when I searched the internet for a replacement shoe that I liked in men's 9.5, but the chance of finding the same shoe years later was slim. So I started browsing reviews and found one review that recommended the Mizuno brand among a few others. The review was a few years old but luckily I found a shoe in my size. I've been driving them for about a month now and I've been pleasantly surprised. Not only did they offer the same stability for my pronation, but they were also slightly lighter in weight. The colors were a little garish, but I liked the design. Now, besides manga and anime, I have one more reason to love Japan!
