Great item but don't forget to use plumber's lube. I replaced my old block because it was difficult to turn and both knobs were turned at the same time so everything required two hands and precision. What happened when I inserted the new part? Basically the same. I took it apart again and applied plumber's lube as directed and now it's smooth and works great. I bet just taking the old one off and lubricating it would solve my problem, but for $12 it's not a huge loss. But if you're on a tight budget you might as well just try lubricating what you have, it's a simple part that might not actually need replacing.
