Like others I buy another brand in HD

Like others I buy another brand in HD. As others have said, the swap didn't work much better than swapping the cartridge, even when using lube. I bought this cartridge and it is day and night. Temperature control is comfortable and gentle. 4 stars only because there is no stop to set the temperature and the water shut-off part rotates quite a bit before reaching the full on position. So far very happy with this product.

Not the same part in faucet parts

A few years ago I bought a Danco 88200. I went through my purchase history and ordered the same part again. I received a Danco 88200 MX1. This part doesn't fit. The 88200 MX1 end diameter is slightly larger than the 88200 and will not fit. The groove is also different in size. The end of the Danco 88200 was made of brass. The end of the Danco 88200 MX1 is a plastic-coated brass core. I had to order this replacement part from another manufacturer.

Don't skip lube.

Great item but don't forget to use plumber's lube. I replaced my old block because it was difficult to turn and both knobs were turned at the same time so everything required two hands and precision. What happened when I inserted the new part? Basically the same. I took it apart again and applied plumber's lube as directed and now it's smooth and works great. I bet just taking the old one off and lubricating it would solve my problem, but for $12 it's not a huge loss. But if you're on a tight…

great replacement for a small price.

To replace my mother's old mixing valve, this one was very easy to replace. an old one that was slightly rusty but not. Make sure you watch some YouTube videos if you're having trouble. The main thing when inserting it into the pipe is to make sure that it is twisted so that there are no gaps in the end that goes into the pipe. This allows you to easily insert the part into the tube. If this is not done, a leak will occur. or you can't paste it. The replacement was smooth and seamless and my…

What offer! - Rough Plumbing

This was a great replacement cartridge for an appliance that had been sitting idle for at least twenty years. This is a quality piece. I appreciate the instructions are in English which you can actually read. I looked at a similar part in HD and found one that was almost twice the price and looked like half the quality. Hmm - simple solution. Now I just want to add that some people say to put silicone grease (not petroleum based plumber's grease) on the o-ring before installing it. Well-written

Didn't work for me, instead I used Lasco S-815-3 (0503) to fix the leak.

Would love to have that back in Revain but I've been trying to install it. I have read many reviews advising us not to go to the big stores because we can only find cheap replacements that don't last long. Well, that Danko didn't work. live and learn My house was built in 96. I like to think I have post 1968 Mixet stems in my house. My stem said it was part of a Genunie Mixet but there was no part number. That part of Danko didn't work. Luckily, Ace is only a block away. They had takeaways both

No physical stop and wrong installation direction. My Thoughts

My 10 year old hates this valve; He can't stop abruptly when he's on, which also confuses her when he's looking for a direction to turn him off. She turns the knob both ways without feeling which way it's turned. Second, there are many complaints about the design of this mixet valve not mixing the water temperature properly. The instructions say to set the valve with the red dot on the plastic temperature knob for up to 12 hours. There is a video on YouTube hosted by The Shack. He better…
