I've been wearing these earrings for several days straight (including sleeping in them), and they've been absolutely lovely! I love the clarity of the stones.I don't even think about having them on unless I look in the mirror. I have highly sensitive skin, and any nickel, even in sterling silver, makes my ears red and itchy. I've had no trouble with these at all. I'm wearing the third size gem in my lower hole (my second piercing is larger and has a 16g post instead of 18g). I bought these because of having the large ball backs on all the sizes of gems. One of the balls was initially really hard to remove, but hasn't been a problem since. It's a little more difficult to screw on than my 16g, since the post is smaller, but not too bad, and it's worth being able to "set and forget"!
