This heart rate monitor is lightweight and easy to use. I don't even notice it on my forearm. Perhaps most importantly, it connects quickly and so far has worked flawlessly with my (amazing) [[ASIN: B00NH9WEUA Concept2 Model D Indoor Rowing Machine with PM5 Performance Monitor]. Also, you should contact the company directly before buying anywhere. Once connected I see my heart rate on the PM5 display and it is included in my Concept2 online log along with all other rowing metrics. One thing that might need clarification is the max heart rate when this monitor starts flashing red, buzzing etc, is 180 bpm and there doesn't seem to be a way to change that. I suspect that by my age, when my heart is beating so fast, I'll be dead, and it would be nice to be able to lower the threshold. However, for the value this monitor offers, I'm happy (and I think I hope) to be able to live with that limitation.
