Review on πŸ–₯️ MSI B550-A PRO ATX Motherboard (AMD AM4, DDR4, PCIe 4.0, SATA 6Gb/s, M.2, USB 3.2 Gen 2, HDMI/DP) by Jeremy Gorsage

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good features and good price, poor quality control and complicated BIOS

Figuring out the BIOS was difficult, especially if you want to run 3600 , which is the first thing you should do after a build, as the RAM doesn't automatically sync to its rated maximum speed. QC on mine seems to have lost the USB-C type and network connector, which is placed slightly inward on the top and bottom connectors on the board. So when I/O screen ID is enabled there is more room in front of it than for audio and USB 2.0/HDMI/dp ports which prevent the network cable from snapping so you need to check the sliding tower and make sure it isn't slips out, not a problem if the USB ports are slightly inward while reading anything. It has a lot of features if you want to play around with the bios and figure it out, and you're lucky enough to get one with good QC Nor Ce budget motherboard.

Pros
  • Core Boost technology combines optimized power circuits and digital power control to provide accurate and stable current to the CPU
Cons
  • Not bad
