Review on AEM 22 450P Polished Intake System by Andrew Walton

AEM fans beware, K&N bought them

A reminder to anyone who argues about dry flow and oil: A few years ago, K&N AEM bought . Therefore, the filter is actually K&N. You will see the logo everywhere. Good sound, not overbearing, very good raw "wow" at 2.8-4k (higher than I thought). 3 stars because the black pin was so cheap I used my own bolt and pulled it apart fairly easily. Note: Changing from a long pipe to a short pipe requires a Ford Focus [maybe that's not the name] PCV crankshaft valve (nipple) which is part of the OEM box. If you don't have it, good luck with your search, I never found it. I ended up using a 5/8" flanged elbow and screwed the gasket into the pipe (if you do this make sure it's as tight as possible or you risk it loosening and that throttle body seals). I don't recommend this setup, but it worked for me and will work if you're in a pinch. So if you are arguing between this and K&N for $100 more, save your money and don't buy a K&N, buy an AEM K&N instead.
