Due to rising food prices, I make my own juice from concentrate or just drink water with lemon. Plus, the CRV surcharge adds up even for plastic juice bottles. This glass is made of borosilicate glass like you see in mugs. It won't tip over in the fridge because it has a wide base (5" diameter). The lid has a silicone seal to prevent spills when pouring. That's a good pressure. The lid is metal and has two pouring methods - either through a 1/2" x 1/4" hole or through an equally sized metal mesh with filter holes. The latter is great for people who don't want ice/pulp in their drinks. I haven't used it on the stove because I usually boil water in a kettle. The handle is comfortable and very light (great for those with arthritic hands). The jug is even good enough to be served at the table. It has a nice clean look. It's easy to clean. Hand wash recommended. For me, this is definitely a good strategy for saving money on juice drinks.
