Overall this is a really fun gift for an aspiring artist. Note that I say ambitious because while this set is impressive in terms of item count, the quality of some items isn't great. This seems like the kind of set that would make a wonderful gift for a high school student or high school student. I say that because the quality isn't good enough to give to a pro or art student, but how many 10-year-olds do you know who would know what to do with a sanding block? a small bag included, but note that if you try to put all the materials in it, they will immediately fall to pieces. The notepads and paper that come with it fit the bag perfectly and it seems to be of good quality because I will keep my paper there but will leave other more fragile materials in a safer place. As already mentioned, the amount of items is impressive. and useful, but some of them don't have the quality you want if you're serious about making art. For example, pastels look a bit crumbly, while colored pencils leave something to be desired. If I was 12 and got this for Christmas I'd probably pass out so I'd highly recommend it as a starter gift. an artist or an older child who wants to play, but if you want to buy for a professional artist in your life, it's better to ask which brand they prefer.
