Review on Farah Bi-Pin Halogen Replacement for Pin Light by Richard Gonzales

Revainrating 5 out of 5

nice color, good workmanship

are installed in street lamps with 12V AC power supply replacing some "Corn Cob" LEDs (9 5050 SMD) which were probably 3000k and flickered slightly when powered from mains. That's 2700K with a CRI > 80. I made a comparison with my bare feet under a corncob and these lightbulbs at night. My feet looked a bit gray under the corn on the cob while those onions created pink tones on my feet. I hate that sterile kind of 3000k light - these bulbs are NOT THAT. Is the construction good, fully encased in clear plastic/acrylic? In any case protected from the weather and unbreakable during handling. Waterproof light on the sidewalk can be seen. I bought 1.2w and 2.0w bulbs. You can see the difference in light output if you look closely, but 95% of people won't notice the difference. Tip: I dip the pins in a tube of dielectric grease before inserting to prevent corrosion of the socket. La Fara! Can I get them in the base T10 Wedge for my headlights? Please?

Pros
  • G4 LED bulbs use LED chip in COB package, 160-180lm, 360 degree beam angle, 2700-3000k warm white, RA>80, produce nice warm light effect, best for accent lighting
