Installed 4 units on docking feet. I was concerned that a battery was AAA size and I didn't expect it to last very long. Installed in the afternoon on a cloudy day so there wasn't much sun on the first day. To my surprise, at 6am the next morning, they were just as bright as the night before! We are very happy with the units. Although they look like a cupcake with a candle, the detachable spike comes in handy when we need to stop birds, seagulls and other pesky birds from perching on them. And they can be easily customized to any of the six colors. GREAT LIGHT for the price.
