Due to health issues I had to hire an environmental consultant to help us find 'clean' and healthy and non-toxic ways to keep our house and laundry clean, free from dirt, microorganisms and mold. It turned out that every other word out of the counselor's mouth was borax! When we needed to clean up the mold in our basement, he ordered the workers to spray the walls with borax. We checked and the mold is gone. Not a single mold cell. And borax leaves no odor! In fact, it removes odors. When we needed to steam clean our sofa, he recommended that vapers run borax through the steamer. And we did. He told us that the best, cleanest way to keep a bathroom clean is to use borax and water, wipe it down, and then use hydrogen peroxide or vinegar and water. This kills 99% of all possible microorganisms. I now use borax to bleach laundry or whenever my laundry smells musty or musty. Kills odor and mold. I use it to kill mold in reefer containers. When my basement flooded, I cleaned it with borax and water, followed by hydrogen peroxide. I mix it with sugar to kill ants. It's a miracle and I never want to be without it again.
