Review on BV Handlebar Bicycle Mountain Downhill by Dinero Bentz

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well on my old XC bike

I got tired of buying a new bike locally at reasonable prices as they are in short supply due to the COVID crisis so I decided to stock some parts on mine instead to repair and upgrade 20 year old Canondale F700. Got a new wider XP90 carbon handlebar from a major auction which I'm pretty sure is a knockoff or stock B and these knockoff hand grips to update my cockpit. I found these grips to be difficult to get onto my bars, so I lightly sanded the sharp edges of the carbon bar to round them off to create a slight ramp for these grips to get onto the bars, but I also had to trip over them Plastic. A collar that guides the bars from the inside of the grips, as it turned out there was too much material for the padding to expand over the bars. after this quick change i got the hang of it and they look great. They're also comfortable - medium softness - less soft than my old Yeti grips, but just enough and I'm happy with the result. My only complaints were that I had to modify them a bit to fit them as well as the socket where the hex key that attaches these grips to the bars is flat milled and I was worried it might happen if I overtighten him break. and I would be concerned if you take them off and put them back on a few times they might fail too so be careful locking them in place. In any case I'm happy with the overall result and only had to put on some new studded tires to bring my old bike up to speed for this riding season.
