Aluminum screws mean broken screw heads if you think about tightening them a bit too much, which unfortunately is easy because they don't leave a gap in the locking rings. In order to securely attach these rings to the handlebars I had to basically tighten these rings until the two ends were practically welded together which then caused the fastener to come loose as that is the next weakest point. I really wanted to like these knobs because I thought the design was cool and I liked the green locking rings which perfectly matched the accents on my 2018 Giant Trance 2. The rubber itself seemed very comfortable, but I can't say for sure because I returned it before hitting the road. I had to send them back as I couldn't get them to snap.
