Bought this when we had PGE blackouts but didn't use it until recently. We used it with our generator when we had a power outage for a few days recently and it was so handy to be able to just turn the switch off instead of fiddling with wires to toggle between what we wanted and what we wanted our not to overload generator . It is well made, robust and absolutely comfortable. I love that the switch lights up when the plug is in and I forgot that it turns on the surge protector which is a big bonus as we also charged our phones etc. The only downside is that you lose at least one plug space if you have a large side plug, but that doesn't matter. I want to replace all my old extension cords with these!
