If you have a Volkswagen with an electric parking brake you will need this to replace the rear pads. This is exactly what I needed to replace the rear brakes on my 2014 CC. Just plug it in, turn on the ignition and follow the mounts to retract the piston into the calipers. If you are interested in cars, this should be in your tool box. I was in the middle of a complete brake job when I realized I needed this for the rear end. The purchase saved me a ton of money by being able to service my car myself instead of paying the shop for a simple job that would have cost me at least $300 just for the job. Don't be fooled by a money-hungry workshop!
