Good speaker for listening to music around the pool and/or hot tub. This speaker is powerful enough to be heard in the pool area, but I wouldn't call it a 'busy' or 'active' pool area as the volume can be a little muted at times. I've used the 3/4 volume speaker next to the hot tub and it holds up pretty well, but only when I'm sitting there enjoying the hot tub and the music and just interacting with others. I haven't used the included mic, which looks well built, nor the mic features (built-in echo, etc.), but it looks promising. Love the fact that it has a micro SD card slot so you can load music onto the card, plug it into the side of the speaker and listen! On the one hand, I don't like that the LEDs don't flash to the music (only 2 modes: on and off), but the speakers themselves seem well made, including the reversing subwoofer. The carrying handle on the top makes it easy to move the device, and the battery lasts a long time with normal use. When I say "a long time" I mean I had the battery fully charged when I first got the speaker and I've used the speakers about 15-18 times for about 1¾-2 hours each time and still have to not be charged. a while. Good speaker for the price.
