DIY project? Buy it!

Good product! For a contractor, is it used every day at work? Doubtful. I think this tool is more for busy homeowners. This is me! I've used it for my basement and kitchen/dining room and so far it's an investment worth making again and again! I started sanding in the basement with hand sanders. Carefully! I had this baby, finished my basement and then went upstairs and sanded, patched/repaired and re-sanded my entire kitchen/dining room in 4 hours! The longest time waiting for the dirt to dry. Serious. The walls were really bad (numerous drip marks showing seams, scratches/dents and just a very poor previous paint job). The walls are so smooth now and I can't wait to paint! Obviously this is bad for the edges/corners, which were also very bad. I have a different grinder for that. I'm very glad I decided to just buy it and understand how to use it. It's very easy. I had never used a grinder before and was afraid I would do more harm than good. There was nothing to worry about. Just keep your hands fully on the handle when using it. I have a habit of keeping my pinky away from the rest of my hand when reaching for things, and on several occasions I've felt the electric shock that others have mentioned. It's either that, or do as some guy said and just buy yourself some rubber gloves. I'm an electrician so a little bump didn't scare me at all, but I still took gloves so as not to get distracted while sanding.
