Although the connectors match the battery and motherboard, the cable itself is too short and needs to be twisted in the middle to reach the two connectors. This loosens it on one or both sides and forms a bulge that prevents the case from closing. You have to press hard on it, which in turn will cause it to detach from one or both forks.
