Ordered these as my son is ready for size 10 pajamas and hates shirts. These pants are really long. I mean they are really long. If you're looking for a smaller size, say a 10 in the 10-12 range, that's a 12 - the top fits, but in our case you'll be tied up at the bottom. The material is very soft and irresistible for a child so after trying them on I had to adjust them to the next size up. LOL But as the saying goes, if you cut this fleece to hem your pants around your house, you'll have fluff all over it - that's the nature of super soft stuff. As the material is very soft, the only way to determine the size is to fold the top, folded cuffs will not work as they will unfold. The top part is nice too, so they're perfect for tall and lanky ones. We keep them for longer distances, which always arrive sooner than you think.
